Wanted: Lucius Malfoy
Why This Character Would Be Amazing: Let me tell you someone about Lucius Malfoy--Lucius Malfoy is flawless. I heard his hair is insured for 10,000 Galleons. And that he does broom commercials...in Japan. One time he met Gilderoy Lockhart on a plane, and he told him he was pretty. One time he punched an order member in the face...they thought it was awesome. Lucius is like one of the OG INNER CIRCLE DEs! When he mthr fckn punches you in the face it doesn't just hurt IT HURTS SO GOOD! That GQ bastard has the entire Death Eater group here just waiting for this crafty BAMF to roll in. NOT TO MENTION THE MINISTRY! AND THAT'S NOT EVEN TO MENTION HOW HE'S GOT HELLA LOT OF FAMILY-IN-LAW UP IN THIS PIECE. And srsly he needs to come take care of his pregnant as fck wife, so that she can stop making all the bb DEs bring her food.
Character Concepts You Can Steal: The DEs for real need more likable people up in their midst and Lucius has already been voted most sexable by 9 out of 10 of your local DEs! There is hella squabbling going on and Lucius needs to show up to be like woah guys, woah.
Also he could totally be a quadrupal double agent! Spying on the Ministry by pretending to spy on the DEs by pretending to spy on the Ministry by pretending to....I Spy...on................you get the idea.
He's a Kung Fu Master of Judging You But he's supportive!

 blights (mod)
minrathous (ic) | archdemons (ooc) | bantered (banter)In the age following the Fifth Blight, the world knew relative peace. Despite nations playing at war and political intrigue, terror of the Blight was passed. Children forgot to be afraid of darkspawn in the night, blighted lands began to grow, and the Grey Wardens lost sway with the people they were sworn to protect. Thedas moved on and forgot.
So begins the Shadow Age, one hundred and seventy years after the Archdemon was defeated in Denerim. Bands of darkspawn have been sighted in the Tevinter mountains. Rumored sightings of darkspawn with the ability to speak spread through Thedas. The Tevinter Imperium, left weak from its ongoing war with the Quinari, does not have the means for self defense. Orlais turns greedy eyes back toward Ferelden. The Grey Wardens, now regarded as an archaic order past its usefulness, sends out envoys to recruit anyone of use for the upcoming Blight. Thedas is poised on the edge of deep darkness and horror, in desperate need of heroes. Will you be the one to fight?Blights is a thread-heavy Dragon Age universe roleplaying game set during The Sixth Blight in the year 11:4 Shadow Age. We will be exploring many dynamics and angles, including political struggles, current events, war, plot development (both player's and game's) as well as character relationships. Added to this, we will be focusing on the whole of Thedas instead of on just one country and will be kept at a steady pace to move forward plot. We encourage all characters and all backgrounds as we hope to utilize all archetypes! In other words, Blights wants you and your character!
game starts october 10th. |

GOSSIP GHOUL
A Season 1 Gossip Girl/Zombie Apocalypse Crossover Rumors of a strange infection have been circulating around New York City for weeks now. The government has done everything in its power to silence them, however, and the students of St. Jude's and Constance Billard's have been kept almost entirely in the dark. True, there's the odd stranger coughing blood on the subway. Or the strangely pasty complexion and glassy eyes of the salesperson waiting on them at Bendel's. Perhaps they've even heard rumors of people becoming reanimated in hospitals. But between the stress of Gossip Girl blasts, SAT prep, and lacrosse matches, who can really keep track? Their blissful weeks of ignorance are about to end. These pampered Upper East Side teenagers will have to rely on each other and whatever skills they have if they want to make it out alive. From the school's Queen Bee all the way down to the scholarship kids, everyone has a common enemy for the first time ever. Social survival will be replayed by actual survival. This is a small PSL group focusing on Gossip Girl characters encountering a challenge far more dire than gossip blasts—zombies!! A list of wanted characters is here and we'd particularly like to see Serena. |

Forgotten Gods |
[26 Sep 2011|06:46pm] |
 |
Virtually everything the human race has ever believed in is true. And it continues to be true, long after the human race particularly needs it to be true any more.
-- Douglas Adams, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul |

Forgotten Gods follows the deities of ancient mythologies, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers have moved on to new religions, the gods' powers have waned -- for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, intent on regaining the power that was once theirs and reviving their followings.
And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the old ones, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep, abiding wariness.
Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology. |
