Grave Comfort is a supernaturally themed original character role-playing game set in a fictitious small town known as Comfort, Virginia. Established in 1763, Comfort has a rich history going back to the original colonies of America. In the present day, it is famous for the strange goings-on that happen throughout the town: mysterious lights over the woods, a haunted former prison for the criminally insane, haunted train tracks, the remains of a 19th century cult that ended in mass murder...there was even a cult slasher film series based on the town's supernatural history that has spawned an annual horror film festival. Typical tourist attractions can be found in town too, from tours on the Buckley Plantation or at the Thorpe winery to visits to the Historical Society's Museum or one of the many art galleries in town. Come to Comfort for its attractions, stay to experience its oddities.
Welcome to Comfort! opens june 27th or at five players

Apartments For RentVACANT. Born to wealth, Arthur Kemp pursued molecular genetics as a course of study because he wanted to be famous, not out of any true love for science. Unfortunately, he tried to take credit for The Invisible Man's work during college and everything backfired on him. Now, he's destitute and out for revenge, and the old adage 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing' could have been created precisely for him.
VACANT. Mowgli was barely a month old when he was kidnapped from an unwatched stroller in the park. The woman who took him, a recluse who lived alone in the woods, spent most of her time caring for the forest animals that lived in and around her shack. Mowgli’s only company the animals the woman loved. He was rescued when he was four and thereafter raised by an eminent child psychologist. Aggressive speech therapy and special tutors helped him catch up to an appropriate level of development, but he always found that he related better to animals than people-perhaps because he could speak their language. He eventually majored in zoology, a field that allowed him to spend as much time as possible around the creatures he loved best, and in that field he met Akela and Bagheera. Though he has thought occasionally of taking on the massive challenge of tracking down his biological family, the sheer impossibility of it has always deterred him--hence, he has no idea that Sleeping Beauty is his relative.
VACANT. ADDITIONAL AVAILABLE TENANTS.
Premise: There is an apartment building in New York called 'Bellum Letale.' Most people ignore its auspicious name, though they would be advised to pay more attention to its meaning.
It is a strange building.
Every man, woman and child in the building is a reincarnated fable, the stories told to human children for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Once very real, the fables began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. They have all been reborn in human forms, though their essence remains, waiting to be awakened at the right time, in the right place.
Now is the time - Bellum Letale is the place. As their lives connect and weave together, as they follow their petty desires and long-held grudges, they are, all of them, on the brink of disaster. Their Landlord knows their every move, and the building they live in seems to have an agenda of its own. People are tortured, people die, people plot behind each other's backs and sneak around and cheat. They love, they fight, they draw blood. This is not the fairy tale you remember being told. |
