Welcome to Unfinished Tales, the stories of the fourth age of Men. The shadow of Sauron has fallen, and the peoples of Middle-Earth pick up the pieces. An unknown darkness rises in the East and to combat this darkness the Halls of Mandos have opened letting out heroes with no memory of evil times. The elves who were to depart into the West postpone their journeys to help the Men who struggle with long-sleeping evils. This is the day to shine a light into the encroaching darkness - and age for strength and for glory. Will you not rise to determine the fate of Middle-Earth?
Unfinished Tales is a Tolkien-based game set after the War of the Ring. We aim to further the tales at the end of The Return of the King as well as in the Fourth Age through the use of journals and AOL instant messenger chat. The quest for excellent roleplaying and a friendly community in the Tolkien fandom is one that never ends.

The Wizarding World has seen its fair share of suffering, such as the reign of Lord Voldemort that occurred not once, but twice. But, as it was foreseen, good triumphed over evil and the world gained peace. It seemed to be everlasting for witches and wizards everywhere, a great relief to those who feared the worst in the midst of rebuilding. Twenty-five years later, someone now threatens to destroy the peace that has come to be, though not in such a way that would strike fear in the general public. It's much worse: Hogwarts has a new Headmaster and the students aren't going to like him.
Tiberius Ogden was just appointed the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the summer, the former Headmaster, Matthew Harrison, having abruptly retired when he suddenly came upon a very large sum of money. The Ogden name is famous for its liquor, though Tiberius has no interest in making drunks out of his peers. No, Tiberius Ogden followed another path, one of strict behavior that came with wielding a firm hand rather than a tap. A retired Hit Wizard, Tiberius has known a life of hardship and determination and believes that today's youth are becoming weak-minded prats. As a way to change this, he quickly took up the position Headmaster Harrison wished to discard.
Students will be in for quite the shock when they return to school to have their yearly start of term feast. Not only are they receiving a new Headmaster, but he comes with a whole new set of rules - rules so numerous in count that a book of them was created - something each student will find at their seat.

X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. Be it classic superhero adventures, high school drama, dark and gritty spy games or interpersonal relationships, X-Project caters to everyone.
X-Project is currently focusing our advertising towards filling some of our unplayed characters and available NPCs. We will still look at applications for new characters, but our preference is for applications for socks. To help give you an idea of each character's history, we have a series of "cards" for each available character/NPC.

The pirate leered evilly at the hapless hero in the cell, who groaned in response. The hero looked desperately around for anyone who might be of help. He was alone. The pirate grinned, and pulled out a dagger. The hero looked around for cover. There is none, so he backed up against the wall, praying that the pirate didn't have the key. The pirate didn't, but unfortunately he also had an excellent arm. Excruciating pain overwhelmed all of the hero's senses, as he sunk to the ground, the dagger embedded in his chest. Next time, he'd have to remember not to insult the man's mom. It was obviously a terrible tactical strategy. His last thought was about how very much he wished the internet had been invented here so that he could look up things like “diplomacy” or “gypsy curses.” He was desperately trying to recall something from his psychology class when his heart finally stopped, and everything went black.
Sunlight streamed through the stable window, and the hero blinked a bit before sitting up to find a man with a pitchfork staring at him. “Did the wizard send ya?” the man asks accusingly. The hero buries his face in his hand. Oh no....Not again.....
Destiny of Doom is an experimental Original Character Fantasy/Folklore Adventure Roleplaying Game About A Game based loosely upon Heir Apparent. Absolutely no knowledge of the book is necessary.

City Of Hills is an aim and thread friendly play by (PB)/city based community set in San Francisco, California. Writers of this community are promised creative control over their story lines. As long as things are kept realistic, there should not be an issue at all. We are a game that encourages diversity among characters and accept all types of play bys. This is a pretty basic city-wide game, although we do focus our residential selections around fourteen neighborhoods. This game also accepts characters of all ages.

What if after the fateful three-way duel of 1899, Gellert Grindelwald did not flee England alone? What if he was somehow able to convince his friend Albus Dumbledore to accompany him--to seek out their ambition of taking over the world and controlling it for the greater good?
The Neuen Assistentenauftrag presently controls the majority of the European continent, administered jointly by Chancellor Grindelwald and the Lord Protector Albus Dumbledore. The disciplinary excesses of the Chancellor seem to be held in relative check by the Lord Protector, who is regarded as fondly as the Chancellor is feared. Within the NAA, the highest offense is treason. Those who are able to conform to its laws enjoy the all the freedoms and privileges offered in the world free of the Statute of Secrecy. Britain's integration into the NAA in 1970 was the source of much division within the British magical population. Some argued in favor of allying for the economic benefits and the ideological tenants of egalitarianism within the wizarding community, while others protested yielded power to what appeared to be an increasingly dictatorial regime.
In 1978, the British Ministry of Magic operates as a loyal satellite of the NAA. Territories of the NAA are secretly policed by a German-based military division, the Order of the Phoenix, who see little difference between dissent and disloyalty. Over the past few years, an underground resistance has begun to arise in England, a resistance whose acts are becoming increasingly more daring as the death toll of the NAA continues to rise.
