What if the Salem's Academy mentioned in Harry Potter happens to be the very same Magic School that has a door directly into the Halliwell Manor? Perhaps centuries ago the Ministry of Magic orchestrated a separation of Church and State that excluded the Elders and WhiteLighters from interfering with European witchcraft. But their reach did not extend to the American colonies where true magic was stifled and only brought into the light in recent generations thanks to the tireless work of WhiteLighters. Now, in 2025, after two great battles have been won against Voldemort and the Ultimate Power, things have changed. Both Hogwarts and Salem's Academy are open again. But when the peace of both sides is threatened again, Potters and Halliwells will have to unite wizards and witches everywhere under a common cause. An unknown darkness rises in the East and to combat this darkness the Halls of Mandos have opened letting out heroes with no memory of evil times. The elves who were to depart into the West postpone their journeys to help the Men who struggle with long-sleeping evils. This is the day to shine a light into the encroaching darkness - and age for strength and for glory. Will you not rise to determine the fate of Middle-Earth? Unfinished Tales is a Tolkien-based game set after the War of the Ring. We aim to further the tales at the end of The Return of the King as well as in the Fourth Age through the use of journals and AOL instant messenger chat. The quest for excellent roleplaying and a friendly community in the Tolkien fandom is one that never ends. Unfinished Tales seeks to gather the excellent roleplayers of the internet realm and gather them in a friendly, diplomatic environment where they can explore characters that Tolkien created. [29 Jan 2010|12:49pm] AVAILABLE | APPLICATION | RULES | FAQ In 1954 when Grindlewald was at the height of his reign over Europe a hero descended on him with a group of like minded individuals and ended the sweep of terror that was plaguing the Wizarding World. That great Hero was Tom M. Riddle. You might have heard the story as it being Albus Dumbledore but this is a different tale. It changed so many things and now with Minister Riddle heading the British Ministry the Wizarding World is a far different place. Albus Dumbledore never received the prestige and honor of downing such a threat. He never even became headmaster of Hogwarts, no chocolate frog card; he is merely a bright wizard that never reached his full potential. There is no such thing as interaction with the Muggle World. The first task of the Department of Mysteries was to device a way to pinpoint muggles carrying magical children. When that was accomplished all expecting mothers of magical children were taken to the Wizarding World. The woman is paired to a fostering magical family expecting a child around the same time. When the children are born they are called Magical Twins. The muggle woman is obliviated and deposited back in her world with no idea where her child has gone or that she was even carrying one. These twins are treated no different from any blood related children of their parents. It is a gift to raise a child in such a way giving them a better life then they could have had otherwise. Blood classification has been abolished.
