Tolkien On the night of All Hallow’s Eve, 1981, the Dark Lord Voldemort fell at the hands of one-year old Harry Potter, bringing an end to a decade long reign of terror, to the relief of the entire Wizarding World. Death Eaters were imprisoned, wounds healed, and the Wizarding World spent the next decade healing from the pain of the first war. Yet, Voldemort was not truly defeated that night. He will rise once more, bringing upon another vicious war upon the Wizarding World. Everyone knows the story of James and Lily Potter and the story of their son, Harry, but until now, the story of what happened in between has been unknown. It is 1990, the year before Harry Potter will discover he is a Wizard. Professor Quirrell has left his post at Hogwarts to travel Romania, where he will soon discover the Dark Lord and become his vessel, but back at Hogwarts, all thoughts of Voldemort ever returning are far from anyone’s minds. The students of Hogwarts are far too worried about their love lives, winning Quidditch matches, and avoiding being the target of the secret gossip column of the school, while their professors have similar interests. Rivalries run deep, love comes and goes, and the foundation for the future is being paved. Everyone stands at a crossroads, the road behind them broken and wilting. The road ahead holds a mystery. Which paths in life will they chose? Who will they become? Only one thing is certain; they must choose. Recuperatio [11 Sep 2009|04:06am] 2005. Seven years since the fall of The Dark Lord Voldemort. After all of the pain and suffering that he inflicted, one would think that things were back to normal and peaceful. If you think that, then you’re dead wrong. Convicted rapist and murderer, Fenrir Greyback has escaped from Azkaban and has already began to leave a trail of bodies behind him as he works on building a werewolf army, along with being intent on finishing what he started with Hermione Granger back at Malfoy Manor. Poor Crookshanks has already paid the price of his bloodlust. The leading vampire rights activist has been murdered and vampires are ready to expose everyone to the Muggles if the killer isn’t caught and if their demands aren’t met. The Muggle War is affecting Wizards left and right, from soldiers to suicide bombers in London. Harry Potter is still living a reclusive life, still dealing with PTSD from the war. The Death Eaters have begun to align themselves once more, planning on finishing the work of The Dark Lord. In an attempt to gain Greyback as an ally, the Death Eaters responsible for the new regime tortured Hermione Granger, with the intent of presenting her as a gift for the wolf, but Harry Potter saved her in time. But the damage was done and Ron Weasley is now on the war path. Will Harry be able to come out of his seclusion and help his friend before he goes off the deep end? And if Harry cannot stop Ron, will his fellow Aurors be forced to do the job? All of this going on and the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement unit has just been murdered along with the Minister of Magic’s assistant and Andromeda Tonks… Someone is hell-bent on killing every single person of importance in the Ministry of Magic, leaving room for the Death Eaters to make their move. Darkness Rising [11 Sep 2009|04:25am] September, 1978. School is back in session and though students should be safe within the walls of Hogwarts, one of Voldemort’s Death Eaters has infiltrated the school, securing the Defense Against the Dark Arts position. His mission? To kill Albus Dumbledore. The Dark Lord Voldemort is nearly at his full power and if Dumbledore is taken out of his way, he will have full control. After spending months fighting the Imperius Curse from Lord Voldemort, Minister of Magic, Millicent Bagnold, has completely broken from the Dark Lord’s control, a result of weeks of deception on her part. Aurors nearly caught Voldemort, but three Aurors were killed in the process and now the weakening Department of Magical Law Enforcement is getting desperate for more man-power. Professor McGonagall’s daughter has been rescued and has been able to identify her captor; Bellatrix Lestrange. Now the Lestranges are hiding in France; awaiting the Dark Lord’s orders, but the Dark Lord’s plans for them involve using them as bait for the Ministry of Magic. Even with his top follower on the run and his failings with the Minister, Voldemort has something else on his side; the Horcruxes. Having successfully created two, both in safe keeping, he searches for his mother’s locket and the cup of Hufflepuff, to create even more. Greyback is turning werewolves secretly and is stalking Remus Lupin’s fiancée, Dorcas Meadowes, planning to do unthinkable things to her. But breaking into the Ministry of Magic has distracted him. Now that he knows Auror Caradoc Dearborn is the one tracking him, what will be his fate? Alice Longbottom’s father, responsible for the death of her daughter, has been murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange, but the Ministry only has their eyes set on the Longbottoms and Dumbledore for the culprits. Lucius Malfoy has proposed a business marriage with Narcissa Black and the two powerful families are about to merge and the new Auror trainees will soon embark on a journey that will potentially lead them all to their deaths. People disappeared, entire families were killed-- and the world was torn between Albus Dumbledore's Order of Phoenix and Tom Riddle's Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic stood nearly powerless to stop these massacres and the threat of a pureblood society taking complete control loomed overhead. A red scare suddenly ran throughout the wizarding world as the body count grew. The tables turned when the Dark Lord received intelligence that he believed would seal the fate of this war. A prophecy about a child that would have the power to defeat him, and it quickly came to light that this child was born of Lily and James Potter. He set about trying to find the couple who had defied him three times, and dispose of their son. On October 31st, 1980 the Dark Lord was finally able to find the Potters at their home in Godric's Hollow when Peter Pettigrew betrayed them. However, the Potters were not ill-prepared for the attack. Severus Snape had been able to warn Lily Potter of what was to come, and when the Dark Lord arrived that evening at Godric's Hollow-- he was not met with the happy parents and their child-- but the entire Order of Phoenix and an ambush. On that Halloween, the Dark Lord fell, and the wizarding world rejoiced. Time marched on, and the world forgot about what had happened that Halloween in 1980. The families who had supported the Dark Lord were either jailed, disappeared or managed to buy their way into freedom with tarnished reputations-- but the Ministry of Magic and the Order of Phoenix managed to regain their hold and purge the world of darkness. The world was at peace, but the Dark Lord would not remain forgotten forever-- those true to him knew there were plans that could resurrect him-- but those plans had seemingly disappeared. Outside, it is always winter; the enchanted ceiling of the great hall is always black, even in the daytime. Hogsmeade is deserted, the train doesn't run, and few who venture into the wider world ever return. People of all ages and from all times are beginning to appear, and they are told by a mysterious old man with no name that they have been rescued, though rescued from what is unclear. Who is the benevolent dictator ruling this world? Is he really that kind after all? What happens when monsters begin to rise to the inhabited levels?
