You don't know who his supporters are, you don't know who's working for him and who isn't; you know he can control people so that they do terrible things without being able stop themselves. You're scared for yourself, and your family, and your friends. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing … The Ministry of Magic's in disarray, they don't know what to do, they're trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion …" Across Europe the Wizarding Community lies in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As his numbers increase, Wizards begins to grow more uneasy, increasingly choosing to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear, unwilling to stand up and fight. In spite of the increasing danger, a small group of vigilante Wizards have begun a rebellion, daring to do what the Ministry fears to do; fight. The Order of the Phoenix is slowly growing into a force to be reckoned with, threatening not only Voldemort, but the Ministry itself. Change is on the brink for the students of Hogwarts. No longer will they be safe behind the confines of the castle, unaware to the real dangers of the world. They will soon be forced to make their own loyalties known; a decision that will affect not only the rest of their lives, but the entire Wizarding World. Amongst the darkness, these students are potentially the light needed to give the Order the man power to take on Voldemort’s forces. Over 1,000 years ago, schools for witches and wizards were founded in European countries to instruct students in magic. Hundreds of years later, late to the party as usual, American witches and wizards started their own school, after the disaster that was the Salem Witch Trials. Since then, Salem Academy has flourished as well as its European cousin schools. As times grew modern, American witches and wizards became immersed in Muggle culture. Now in the 21st century, Salem Academy seems like any other high school. There's just one difference. These kids know magic. post comment

In the year 2008, a virus swept North America. Ever vigilant for a pandemic, citizens boarded up their windows, stockpiled their canned goods, and turned their neighbors in to the CDC. Short wave radios fell off the shelves, evacuation routes were prepared. Gas masks and specialty filtration systems were distributed. Pills were available for those showing early symptoms. Pills that did not work. That were later replaced with cyanide as their active ingredient. For those who were brave enough to put their fingers near a loved one's mouth. The United States, Canada, Mexico, the virus swept down into South America and festered in the heat of the jungle. In some places it burned out. Superstition ruled and saved lives. But nothing stopped the virus. You wake up to the crackle of dead airwaves. Three months after the first diagnosed case of Currere Excessum was recorded, NATO approved Great Britain's use of nuclear force against the United States. It was assumed that all organic material would be reduced to ash under the impact. It was assumed that the Quarantine of the Americas would be temporary, at best. Any who survived the blast would be given the highest in humanitarian attention and medical care. The only American emissaries who knew of the plan lay incinerated in Washington. Random attacks on both Muggle and Magical targets have left both sides pointing fingers. The DA is reforming. Will the Order be next? September 2017: Harry sees his children off at Hogwarts- Wait, what? That's about 20 years of history, missing right there. So... what happened between being just our of Hogwarts and having kiddies? Well, in the year 2006, a new minister of magic was voted into office: a woman named Anita Stone (NPC). Smart, attractive, and beloved by her supporters, no one really noticed when she started to let laws slowly go into play. After all, a decade had passed since any real evil had been around the wizarding world. What were a few little laws about members of the opposite sex living together before marriage really going to do? The world Harry and his friends live in is changing: new laws and political powers are taking away the rights of 'unideal' citizens in the name of making a safe world for the next generations- a resistance is rising, but the powers against it are strong. People like Terry Boot have already had jail time for opposing the new system.
