The. Fruitful. Project. [04 Apr 2009|12:34am]

The Fruitful Project

Original Character. Future. Arranged Marriage. 17 & Up.

In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded.

The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five.

It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known.

It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing.
In 2048 a solution was found

The same lab that developed the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the now near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty.

The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by administering it to everyone as a vaccine at doctor's appointments. To further insure that the population will continue to grow and to 'usher in a new era of life', a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law.

Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive.

The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match?

* The Fruitful Project is in no way possible affiliated with "The Eden Project" ([info]eden_project) or "Neogenesis". The Fruitful Project is an independent game founded on November 2nd 2008. It has no prequels, sequels, or spin-offs. Similarities with any games that have come before it are purely coincidental.

"Well, personally? I kinda want to slay the dragon. Let's go to work."

And get to work the remaining members of Angel Investigations did. Four heroes against a city run rampant with monsters of all shapes and sizes. When it was all said and done, the dragon was slayed. The others followed suit or fled for their lives. Gunn perished but Angel, Spike, and Illyria survived. The Senior Partners fell silent and the battle for control of Los Angeles was declared over at long last.

The city has begun to rebuild and people have returned to their daily lives since then. Yet, already plans are in motion to destroy the peace that has befallen the City of Angels. The Senior Partners are back, with a vengeance, and a plan they are certain will succeed. The Powers That Be have decided the time has come to mount a viable defense. Heroes and villains alike are arriving day and night. Some come with an understanding of what is to be expected. Some do not. And some are neither hero nor villain, but simply innocent pawns in a game where the rules are deadly and the winner, truly, can take it all. Now, only one question remains:

On which side of the battle lines do you fall?

Although Parabolical is a multi-fandom RPG set in the Angel-verse, knowledge of the show Angel the Series and/or Buffy the Vampire Slayer is not required.

FIRST NEW APPLICATIONS REVIEWED ON MONDAY, APRIL 6TH!

Welcome to the City of Sin ( original supernatural game ) [04 Apr 2009|01:15am]
For the past one hundred and fifty years the world has been held tightly in the clutches of the supernaturals. Demons, vampires, werewolves and creatures of that ilk have risen to rule over the mortals who have become nothing more than slaves and pets, things to be used and discarded when they are broken.

Las Vegas is much like any of the other remaining cities - a cage re-built by Masters who rule with sin in mind. It is ruled by The Elari, a demonic family who keep the humans controlled so that they may live like Kings and Queens. The Elari are powerful, ruling over Las Vegas as they do, but even those solid foundations can be rocked. Especially with the arrival of the Raidan, another ruling family who seems to have plans for the city.

Something is brewing. Some say war, other say the end of days. No matter what it is The Watch is there to stop it all, saviours of the little bit of Humanity left. But will that be enough? or will they rip the world apart?

It's now 2003 and after five years of healing the Wizarding World is ready to get on with their lives. The Wizengamot has reached the verdict on their last Death Eater trial. And just when everyone begins to breathe again, a family of Muggle-Borns with a brand new baby were brutally murdered. And above their homes the Dark Mark is glowing just as brightly as it had five years ago. The Order and the Ministry are both on the hunt for the Lestranges, the only missing Death Eaters. But the rest of the world is starting to wonder if it's all just smoke and mirrors. Is Voldemort really back from the dead? After all... he's done it before.

The Cabot School Wiki
Mod Journal | Rules | Wanted | Taken & Held | Application | Bio/Survey

The Cabot School is a fictional coeducational college preparatory school, located approximately 20 miles north of Boston, MA in the hamlet of Prides Crossing, MA. Prides Crossing is considered a part of Beverly, MA and once was a farming community. Prides Crossing is primarly a 'bedroom' community; all of its services are provided by the City of Beverly. It is served by the MBTA on the Rockport/Newburyport line, which also stops in downtown Beverly, Salem and travels all the way to North Station, Boston.

The Cabot School is based on the rules and academic requirements of several college prep and private schools in Massachusetts. Its campus layout is based on that of the Landmark School, a real school located in Prides Crossing. Many of the school rules are also created from the moderator team's own experience as both educators and from their own memories of boarding school life.

The game format is a standard journal-based roleplaying game. Players choose a 'face' to play their student or teacher. The school administrators are considered Non-Played Characters. They do have their own journals, but they are controlled by the moderator team.

The game welcomes a wide variety of characters: male, female, all races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations are welcome. We are only concerned about the writing and character development. We pride ourselves on a sense of community and fellowship by encouraging (but not requiring) out of character interaction. We have become such a close community that we are even allowing characters who graduate to stay around so long as their writers wish them to remain in the community. We have been an active community since December 18, 2008, though many of our writers have been writing together since August of 2008. Still, we will always welcome new faces, and we hope you will share your story with us.

Nobody knows what started the infection, or why it spread so fast, but everyone knew the same thing.

Zombies were real, and they were everywhere.

The small towns of the world did better than the larger cities, and it was no surprise that they quickly became the fortified homes of those who could make their way there. Supplies grew strained, and so did tempers. Small magics worked, but the larger ones started to fail, even as people struggled to use them to survive.

One by one, towns failed as their people died. Most of them went scavenging, raiding other towns for needed items.

In one, a man started to mix magic and science, diving into illegal magics, trying to save the people he cared for.

In desperation, he opened a rift to another place.

It expanded, and almost everyone in town vanished. Only one person escaped, hidden behind the man's and her own shields.

Then the rift went quiet.

Until, at random, it began to work again, and people began to come out.

Alone until they had arrived, the only remained survivor quickly realized that these were not the people how had left. Instead, they were from other worlds, unaware of the menace outside the walls of town.

She organized them as best she could, telling them what to expect.

The rift continues to not only bring people, but other creatures, and odd magics ripple outwards from it from time to time, causing a variety of effects.

From time to time, people still vanish, but more are coming all the time, having to learn the ways of this world, and trying to survive the dead.

Welcome to Raccoon City!

First there was the disaster at the lab, then the infection of Raccoon City and the nuclear bombing of it. Over the years Umbrella's effect on the world continued through the new company TriCell Pharmaceuticals. They rebuilt the city and other big cities to hopefully keep the monsters that lived at bay.

Safe from most of the danger, life continued on in Raccoon City Heights. Human life could thrive, travel and live the way they used to before all of this, a decade later after the incident.

[info]raccoon__city is a Panfandom based in Resident's Evil Raccoon City after it's been rebuilt. It's basically a social game with a little bit of scary stuff and R-Rated fun! All characters are welcome! Characters can go to school, have jobs, go to college and travel! The game is Open now! Please come!

House of Dolls
Application | Taken/Held | Rules
You step out of a cab and into another world. Glancing up at the restored Victorian mansion, with no signs of life about the business that is carried on within its walls other then the far away sounds of a piano drifting on the slight breeze. It is quiet otherwise, and you feel as if New York City is miles behind you. Once inside you marvel at the lounge and its contents. Pale bodies strewn everywhere on cushions, laps, fainting couch's, white smoke filling the air like an old time saloon. You head over to the Master, the owner of the house who sits, enjoying the company of the young boys and girls working there. You marvel at the grandeur, the house on the outside is Victorian down to the decorations inside. The lounge, the bedrooms and their four poster beds and canopy's, the tapestries and wallpaper, all from the Victorian era.

The House of Dolls Brothel was created for the elite, the blue bloods of NY and anyone rich enough to walk within its walls. After many years of service and dolls that give themselves willingly it has fallen into a state of degradation. The dolls have begun to be treated badly, although you don't hear of it other then one disappearing every now and then and never returning or screams in the night. Some have bruises and injuries that are covered up with makeup and other things. The teenagers that work there are mostly forced to be prostitutes and are taken from their normal lives by the pimps and owners for their beauty. They are then forced and brainwashed to sell their bodies to the customers who pass into the house which sometimes spend the night or just an hour. The dolls are comfort to the customers, something to take their anger out on, or their lust, even their sadistic desires and the dolls are forced to live out their lives like this. Until they are killed by the pimps, customers, illness or even disease. So welcome to The House of Dolls, come stay awhile, have your pick of our selections of boys and girls and have fun!
