Six years go by with no answers and relative peace. Then as quickly as they left, the powers started to return, without warning, and without sufficient control. The X-men, long since disbanded are being called back by it's leaders Emma Frost and Scott Summers. The general populace hasn't caught on just yet, but the X-men have bigger problems. Their powers are back and out of control, and no one knows why. Omegas is an X-men rpg based loosely on the House of M and Decimation storyline. [23 Feb 2009|12:10pm] THE PREMISE Have you ever dreamed you were someone else and it was so vivid that, for a moment, you were convinced you were that person. It couldn't be, of course. That person isn't even real and dreams are just dreams, right? Or, maybe not. A series of people, all around the world, are experiencing that very thing and, as it turns out, there's much more to it than it being just a dream. Those people are all reincarnations of fictional characters - imaginarily people from literature, mythology, nursery rhymes, fairy tales, etc. They don't have conscious memories of their past lives, but, boy, do they dream about them. Some of them even have special abilities related to their former selves. The dreams can be good or bad, but the one thing they all are is vivid. Jeanne-Marie suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. One personality is the quiet, prudish and very human schoolmarm Jeanne-Marie, the other the super-powered and unstable Aurora. Separated from her brother after the death of their parents and brought up in a reactionary Catholic school for girls from an early age, Jeanne-Marie was tormented by her fellow students and manifested her flight, superspeed and invulnerability when she tried to commit suicide by throwing herself off the roof. Convinced she was a tool of the devil, Jeanne-Marie repressed her mutant powers, sparking off the split into her two selves, and over time her episodes became more dramatic. Recruited to Alpha Flight by Logan from off the streets, she was reunited with her brother but eventually she required hospitalisation for her mental issues. Escaping, she tracked Jean-Paul down to Xavier's, where she spent a short time confusing people before returning to Canada with him for further treatment. Eventually, however, she disappeared, unable to stand what her instability was doing to her twin. Her whereabouts remain unknown. X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. To entertain it's 'guests', it created a world that, every so often, shifted, but always looked like some sort of resort on earth. In a rare moment of weakness, the King of the Goblins and Ruler of the Underground, Jareth, was taken unawares and brought to the Planet. What followed was an inevitable clash of egos as the powerful fae creature fought with the strange sentient planet. The battle was fierce, and the fallout completely unpredictable. In the end, a new dimension was created, somewhere between Jareth's old home and the dimension occupied by the sentient planet. In this new land, Jareth appears to reign surpreme. But can anyone truly rule in a world that was created in such a bizarre and tumultuous way? A few people had been brought along with him in the creation of the new realm, but Jareth decided that anything the Planet could do, he could do better. Specifically Looking For: NOAH BENNET, ANDO MASAHASHI, Rachel Dawson, Danko, Molly, Micah and more!! After the events of March 29th, 2007 our Heroes are disheartened, spread across the U.S., and quickly losing their numbers. And to make matters worse, one of their own was working up a plan that would sacrifice his peers to better himself. As if that weren't enough, someone is out there with malicious intent toward people who are "special". Someone is hunting and rounding up anyone with abilities. No one knows who the hunter is or where the hunter comes from. And no one knows where their peers are going. Will opposing sides find allies in each other to end this menace, or will they do as they always have and serve only themselves and their own purposes? Only time will tell... and time is something they're running out of. HeroesFugitives will parallel Volume 4 of the series starting from March 30th, 2007 (after episode 3.13 Dual) and run in real time. There was not only the craking in this hallway, but also a piercing light and a great wind that seemed to originate from the very middle of the corridor. The gust of wind was strong enough to knock anyone in the hall off of their feet and back towards the walls. Thus, when the gust, and light, and crack had disappeared, a lone figure was kneeling against the polished dark wood floor. Long dark hair fell, concealing the face of the woman who knelt there, a slender arm outreached, hand pressed against the floor ahead of her. The gown she wore was unusual, in more than the mere fact she wore a gown. The fabric and style were much more reminicent of a time long gone than any current fashion would suggest. Before any others could regain their foot, the woman lifted her head, eyes searching the room around her. And then, gracefully, she rose to a full standing position, a smile coming to her lips. She ignored the confused gazes and in the silence that had fallen, spoke. Her voice was clear, and the smile remained. "Morning to you all. Tell me, what year is this?" The year is 2009. The wizarding world has been at peace for nearly eleven years, since the fall of the terrible Lord Voldemort. The infamous trio have all gotten married, had children, and moved on with their lives. That was, until the appearance of the mysterious Morgana le Fay. No one is sure of Morgana's intentions, nor the how or why that brought her to the future. The history books all say that she was Merlin's greatest enemy, but she's saying otherwise. Is she really there to help, or does she have something more sinister in mind? But Morgana isn't the only problem. All over the globe, strange things are happening. People who were thought to be dead are popping up in the places that they died. C reatures, both magical and non, that were thought to be extinct are starting to show up all over the place. I'm not talking about beautiful models or actors or musical prodigies or mathematical geniuses. I'm talking about the people who are born to it- those of us who have everything anyone could possibly wish for and who take it all completely for granted. Welcome to New York City's Upper East Side, where my friends and I live and go to school and play and sleep- sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and out parents are rarely home, so we have a ton of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers. It's a luxe life, but someone's got to live it. XOXO is an RPG set in the world of Gossip Girl. Here, you can play as your favorite character and enjoy the scandalous world in the Upper East Side. The game begins after the events in episode 2x12, "It's A Wonderful Lie". The Snowflake Ball ended with a smash - literally. Serena attends the Ball with her artist boyfriend, Aaron Rose, but she begins to question her relationship with him when Dan and Lexi, Aaron's ex-girlfriend, go to the Ball together. Chuck and Blair try to match each other up with the perfect date, but things don't go as planned. Vanessa and Nate's relationship becomes public knowledge, and Little J isn't too happy about it.
