While the Death Eaters did not succeed, they left a tiny sliver. This allowed the time magic, broken from their magical encases, to spread at a slow rate. The spread went undetected until 2002 when people exposed to the magic were physically reverted to younger forms, retaining their memory, and random spots where the magic gathered pulled those once deceased from their own respective times. post comment

It's a city known for its culture and long history; a city where people of all sorts come together and live in (relative) peace. But where there's people, there's crime, and San Fransisco is not without its criminals. Rapists, murderers, gang members -- a colourful jamboree of sin clumped together. Police officers and inspectors are constantly working, always on the move to put the criminals behind bars. And while this may seem like any other large city in any other state, San Fransisco carries with it a secret that, should it ever be revealed to the world, could corrupt the balance of the world as we know it. Three sisters live in the suburbs of San Fransisco, nestled in a seemingly normal home just like any other house on the block. Everything appears normal on the inside and out -- they live like any other three sisters who remain close to one another into their adult lives. The oldest is the owner of a club, a mother and former chef who is well-known throughout the city for her exquisite cooking skills. The middle sister is a local celebrity, famous for her advice column for the Bay Mirror. And the youngest is a former social worker, though currently unemployed. Nothing about their situation seems out of the ordinary to anyone who's just passing by. But these girls are not what they appear to be. The attic of their seemingly normal home harbours an ancient book filled with spells and information on creatures not of our everyday world. Demons and warlocks, fairies and wizards, potions and enchantments -- everything that one might normally find inside a fantasy story. And not only that -- the girls are actually the prophesized Charmed Ones, the three sisters who will protect the world from horrors that threaten our very existence. They fight for the sake of humanity on a nearly everyday basis with incredible powers. Yet even though they are the ones who will eventually lead the world into an era of peace, no one could have expected events to take a turn for the worst. When they face a creature from another dimension, they did not anticipate a rip in the fabrics of reality. At first, it seemed like any other mission to save the universe from folding in on itself, something they had dealt with before. But when a threat greater than they could ever imagine escapes from his own world and sees potential in the planet he's found himself in, the Elders know the girls cannot defeat him on their own and begin to bring in support for the Charmed Ones -- heroes from other worlds. There's always a flaw in the grand design, though, and the leaders of the Underworld take the opportunity to pull some 'heroes' of their own from other worlds... And that's when the battle begins -- the Charmed Ones and the support the Elders have provided them must work together in order to put an end to their mutual enemy. All mutants are required to carry IDs stating their mutation or they would be arrested for breaking the law. Separate prisons were built for mutant criminals. The use of mutant powers in public not only incited riots, but now carries a minimum prison sentence of fifteen days. The great activist of mutant rights, Charles Xavier is dead. Erik Lensherr is back, powerful then ever, with a new Brotherhood of Mutants behind him. The future looks like a bleak place to be for mutants, but Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters flourishes under Ororo Munroe, the new Headmistress. What if a falsified Prophecy had been passed to him instead? The year is 1995, When Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts. A few changes have been made to the staff over the summer, the most noticeable being the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor; A Mr. Tom Marvolo Riddle. His new post is widely questioned by the wizarding world; The man has been convicted of murders throughout the seventies, why would Dumbledore hire him to teach young children? Dumbledore simply plays it off saying that he has applied "twice before". That he has not been able to be convicted of anything. Mr. Riddle has, after all, been studying abroad since the 1980's, and is very knowledgeable on his subject. Rhyfedd Ceyrydd: An original urban legend RPG [28 Feb 2008|07:07pm] A new RPG group for creatures of fantasy and urban legend- vampires, werewolves, spirits, witches, Fae- centred around Cardiff; city of Dr. Who and Torchwood fame. The Rift, a series of fissures in the nature of reality and the universe that makes interdimensional travel much easier there, is starting to act weirder than usual, and as such, all sorts of new people (and non-people) are arriving in the city. This new influx of strange and unusual citizens means those employed to police the supernatural population are rushed off their feet, trying to protect their new charges from the merciless stone angels and revengeful Fae... It started off with just things like not being allowed near the stone circle at night and the odd Ragtag driving into the city off the non-existent Junction 31 on the M4. The Smiths had an easy enough job fitting in those who wanted to stay, helping those back who didn't and getting rid of and covering up those who weren't going to have it that staying undercover is important. The problem is, though, that this city is weird and listens to those who live in it and this city's changed a lot over the last few years... Now there's Ragtags coming in from all over, things that you've only ever heard of in folklore, and the Smiths are rushed off their feet trying to keep an uneasy peace and stopping the normal residents from finding out things are anything but everyday. It's working though. There's selkies in the Bay and vampires working night shift up at the hospital. There's Fae studying music at the Uni and most of the Smiths are students these days too. It's hectic and the brand new fractures around town sometimes make travelling impossible and the statues try to kill you at night because the city listens to people’s ideas about it but it's working... For now.
