THE LOVE YOU TAKE ;; an across the universe rp [23 Feb 2008|12:49am]
"and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make"

In the fall of 1966 a young man from Liverpool travels to America to find his estranged father, and this single event is the catalyst for a long chain of events that lead to changing lives more than just his own.

Two-and-a-half years later, in East Greenwich Village, life is finally falling into place for each of the many lives that had been brought together during the Summer of Love. That's where The Love You Take comes in. We are a brand new roleplaying community based on director Julie Taymor's brilliant musical Across The Universe. Picking up a half of a year after the credits roll, you decide what happens to the unconventional characters from Taymor's masterpiece. Will Lucy and Jude truly be able to settle their differences and live happily ever after? Will Prudence finally settle down in the village, or will she be a free-spirited drifter forever? Or will you create your own character in this colorful universe?

The Love You Take will officially open on March 1st, 2008, which will coincide with March 1st, 1969, in realtime. Apply today.

It’s the beginning of the school year, 1997, when the first leaf falls to the ground. It was almost like everything was back to normal. The year before had become a distant memory as the students of Hogwarts returned to school with nothing to focus themselves on besides the every constant rumors that floated through the hallways, their social lives and, of course, actual schoolwork. Voldemort is gone, though some of his followers are still on the run or keeping to themselves to avoid attention. It’s almost as though it’s become another era, a happier one.

Without a war to worry about, the student body keeps itself busy by paying closer attention to the latest gossip or scandal going around the school, passing notes or sharing comments through their journals. New friendships and relationships are made, and Hogwarts has never been quite like this before.

Set in the trio's seventh year, RIDDIKULUS focuses on the school life and social interactions of the Harry Potter characters. We have a diverse cast, raging from those who thrive on gossip, to those who prefer to keep to themselves and their schoolwork, to the ones who love creating mayhem for the heck of it... and everything in between.

→ This game is canon up until HBP with details of the end of the war from Deathly Hallows. Everyone deceased from DH are void and up for grabs.

ACTIVE FOR 8 MONTHS!
soon to come: RIOT! MURDER! SCANDAL! OH MY !
What is metahuman about, you might ask? maybe this will help you

Its been months now since President McCannials was elected. Since then, life for mutants has been growing more and more difficult. Left and right, mutants are losing their jobs. Left and right, mutants are being found dead. Left and right, mutants are losing their rights, their families, their homes, their lives.

A mutant hospital has been opened, known as "the New York Establishment of Mutantology", a testing facility for Mutantologists (that is, Mutant scientists) for better understanding of abilities, how they got them. Every day mutants are being taken into the hospital for testing, and some of them aren't making it out.

A drug has been created, for testing on the mutants. It is believed that the drug will put an end to the abilities these mutants hold. But not all mutants are being stopped. Some are dying from the side effects (however covered up by the Government), some are getting new abilities. The effects of this drug are widely unknown.

On November 15, 2020 - a flyer was sent out to every family in America, listing all the laws mutants were expected to follow. If these rules were not followed correctly, the mutant will be punished by hospitalization, or death.

What do you think? Will you stand back and let this happen, or will you stand up and fight for Mutant freedom? The decision is yours

After the battle in the Department of Mysteries in June of 1996, The Time Room was left in ruins, only to be sealed by the Unspeakables and later attempted to be broke into by Death Eaters. While the Death Eaters did not succeed, they left a tiny sliver. This allowed the time magic, broken from their magical encases, to spread at a slow rate.

The spread went undetected until 2002 when people exposed to the magic were physically reverted to younger forms, retaining their memory, and random spots where the magic gathered pulled those once deceased from their own respective times.

&netherworld;

As it is known to mankind now when death grips a lifeform they perish and are sent into the earth where they will reincarnate into something beautiful and provide the world with the always looping circles of life and death. But, what if those always interlocking circles were bent and broken apart leaving the Valley of the Light forever separated from the Land of the Dead never to continue on the chain reactions of life, death and reincarnation. However this does leave the question: Where does one go when they die if these linked circles are torn apart? A question that has a solution only known to those who have passed on to see their new land.

Enter the Netherworld.

A sub-world once connected to the state of the living, the Netherworld is an area with many realms all connected to each other by strange portals. Although the Netherworld in itself is mostly a neutral land, there are certain realms that seem to be more of a threat than the others. It is true that to be in this world one must be dead and therefore shouldn't have the need for fear of any things that could be even remotely ominous - but with death comes fear and with fear comes pain. Dead one might be, food you may not need but even in the Netherworld blood and pain are as real as the living.

There are four different realms joined together in the Netherworld, each one with their own creatures native to its grounds - it is up to those in the realms to decided for themselves which creatures are friend and which are foe. Judge not by their looks entirely for such things can be deceiving. Shelter can be found if you look hard enough in areas such as caves, and holes. They can even be built if one is creative enough to try. Food and drink are not necessities in the Netherworld as there is no hunger to be felt. There is only one large difference between the living and the dead carried into the Netherworld - the dead have no hearts. The similarities are as simple as if one is cut they will bleed and feel pain. Cold and warm tempuratures have effects on the dead although it is minor. Injuries sustained in death are carried over into the Netherworld as permanent scars.

There is but one rule to the land that allows you to pass through realms so freely: the dead cannot visit the land of the living under any circumstances. The living may, however, visit the dead. Perhaps - if one is lucky enough to be called by the living for a meeting, that is.

The Game is now Opened
