The font size thing is affected by what follows it:
1-7 is what you have mentioned - because nothing follows it it will usually assume you're talking about one of the fonts you mentioned in your example:
if you follow the number by px (ex. 12px), it works like like on Microsoft Word.

font: internet approved = web safe. These are going to be on pretty much every computer and you should generally try to use the microsoft ones:

Less common ones are semi web safe and there's a list here. Generally, users should avoid using them.

What a lot of games do (and would make a great article) is have all the members install certain fonts that look like their characters' handwriting.

Also, you probably want to note that the link changing thing only applies to when you're editing layouts. To use it in entries, you'd have to use the style tag. That would be:



You can also use the DIV tag for direction. I don't remember why I started using it (maybe because of user infos?) but it will make it so there's no gaps between it and the next line. It's:
