need a name?
Type in a name, and The Baby Name Wizard will show you the points in the past 120 or so years in which the name has been popular. It could be especially helpful if you're PBing a character from a previous historical period and aren't sure if the name you have in mind for said character would have been popular during their time period, and it can also even be helpful in determining if you're trying to figure out if your modern character's name is too obscure and/or old-fashioned.

	Yea for pimping that site! I love her books/blog/tools/etc. I just wanted to add that I also sometimes use her name encyclopedia for sibling name ideas--for each name entered, users can put in sibling ideas for that name, and it can be really useful for finding names that the same set of parents might use. Or, if a name you like is taken, finding a similar style name. (Reply to this)
