Windows 8 Tips
This community has always been amazing at providing users with computing tips, even though sometimes they don't always relate to roleplay.

I'll confess, I'm hardly roleplaying anymore. It was easier back in the day when school didn't seem so important, but especially the past two years, trying to find the time to roleplay is hard. Fortunately, however, I'm a month away from graduation, and afterward, I'll be thrust out into the real world to find a J-O-B. I'm hoping that without a focus on school that I'll be able to return to roleplaying.

In the meantime, however, I'm looking for some Windows 8 tips, tweaks, hacks, etc. that making computing and customization a little easier. Currently, I'm using Start Menu 8 to bring back my Start button and Windows 8 Start Screen Customizer to give myself a new start screen. The latter doesn't work very well though because as soon as my computer is rebooted or wakes up from sleep mode, the start screen reverts back to the default for the color scheme I've chosen. It's annoying as hell.

Does anyone know of other programs or tips, tweaks, hacks, etc.?

Honestly, I've found once you get used to it, the native Win8 home screen/"start menu" is actually more flexible and intuitive than the previous one. You can tweak it to add your most used programs to the main screen, which I love, personally. BUT FOR TIPS:

- Add/remove from the home screen! Seriously, I cannot advocate for this enough. I haaaaaated the native start screen before I figured out how to do that.

- Learn and love your keyboard shortcuts. They give a list of them here (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/getting-around-tutorial).

- Anything you use a whole lot from the desktop, pin it to the windows bar for easier access still.
