Fucked up as in, the good kind, or the sort where you want to leave but you say because it's that good ? I haven't read manga for fucking years, but, I keep edging back.

The Cat Returns is a 'serious' movie, but you don't watch it expecting any deep, life-changing development like say, Spirited Away's story. It also helps a lot if you tolerate 'talking, anthropomorphic animals'. The plot's basic and comes off as a 'typical' animanga story; girl gets transported to magical land of animals or _______, drama happens, she needs to escape NOW-' and so on.

Now I need to watch Ghibli. And by extension, Paprika.
