I'm still reeling from seeing someone on my role play Tumblr dash use my icons without any credit anywhere, though I know that's now how Tumblr works, but sheesh. Talk about taking a kick to the head.

Yes, people are now using icons on Tumblr instead of GIFs when role playing. It's a new thing. I stupidly assumed they were making their own icons until this morning when I saw my icons being used.

People are using icons without credit. Like, a lot of people.

On Tumblr, you don't get to pick an icon for a post. So, people typically used images, usually GIFs, hosted on Tumblr to show expressions like you would with icons on a journal. Now, people have started using icons and they're coming to Insanejournal to get them. I had a role player link me to wikicon earlier as their source for icons and said they didn't know people wanted credit.

	Things like this make me unreasonably angry. Just like finding people using and hotlinking my icons on forums. I'm glad I don't visit tumblr much to see if they are doing it with mine. I might explode. (Reply to this)

I tried to raise the point of how gif/icon/edit stealing etc., is incredibly wrong and rude and, as a result, I was attacked by Tumblr users who forced me into deleting my account. Now, I'm sorry but stealing is stealing whether or not you don't actually claim credit for whatever it is you've stolen.

Ugh, Tumblr rolerplayers just make me feel irrationally angry and as I mentioned it's no use trying to contact the rpers and those bloody gif hunt blogs!

Basically, Tumblr sucks. If only people were reasonable human beings instead of obnoxious assholes.

No, seriously, that's a thing now? Why? I don't like Tumblr rp anyway because it always just seems like the one liners are the excuse to use the gifs, but now they're stealing icons?

As for the anon above me, wow, that sucks. And it's kind of ironic, considering how angry gif makers get about people using their work. You would think they would be the most understanding of coloring and layers, etc. (But I also get that most of them, the rpers, aren't gif makers and just take those too, so.)

	I don't make icons but I know how much it sucks to have your stuff stolen. But then that's kind of Tumblr's thing, as if I needed a reason not to like the place, after having written two entries about how much I dislike Tumblr within the last couple of weeks...
