Layouts for Dreamwidth?
A friend of mine is starting a college game on Dreamwidth, but I really can't find any journal layouts except for the ones that they provide—and I'm not really fond of them, actually.

I know ~rp_tutorials has a comm over there, but it doesn't seem as active as this one. I thought I'd give you guys a shot first.

Anyone know where I can find layouts for it?

Try dreamwidthlayouts! I comb through there whenever I want a new layout form my DW blog. There's also the option of compiling your own S2 layer (like Flexible Squares, Smooth Sailing, Mixit etc) and using layout codes from LJ comms.

Free accounts on dreamwidth can install either one or two custom layers, as well, so you can actually end up with Bloggish, Flexible Squares, etc. and thus be able to use a wider variety of layouts. Here's the tutorial I found and tested out on an account of mine: Adding LJ Layouts to Dreamwidth. I know for a fact the Flexible Squares works there; I don't know about the others.

All S2 layouts work on Dreamwidth including the ones used over here at IJ. Here is what you need to do. Follow the steps in the tutorial then in another tab open either IJ or LJ.

1) Go to Customize Journal
2) Select S2
3) Go to Advanced tab
4) Go to Public Layers
5) Select style you want to import over.
6) Click Raw Source Code
7) Copy code (Ctrl + A) to select and (Ctrl +C) to Copy
8) Paste Code into dreamwidth and hit save and compile.

Follow rest of tutorial and viola you now have codes from IJ and LJ.
