Question here to all icon makers: how does one going about iconning screencaps in a fashion that is consistent? Do you batch the icons despite the varying lighting of the screencaps or do them all one by one?

I trying to do one scene at a time. That way I can usually find a way that works at least for those icons. Then I can move on to another scene and get frustrated all over!

OH HI STRANGER. And yeah, that's what I've been doing, but I've been finding that the lighting can differ from cap to cap, even if they're of the same scene. It's super frustrating.

I rarely do this but I like to record a Photoshop action and play it for each picture of the same scene. Then I edit them one by one if it calls for it.

I don't pay much attention to the lighting because as you said, each scene is different, so it'd be ridiculous to alter the lighting per icon to keep them consistent if the PB is in different scenes. If it's the same scene but for some reason PS keeps messing with the brightness, it's easy enough to adjust it.
