I was just telling my friend the reason I like yours is that you really get the concept of a magazine layout; I showed her (she's worked on real magazines before) and we agreed that you definitely are on the right track with your coding.

If you want any advice (just tell me to shut up, if you don't lol), I would say more padding between the columns. What I did for the ones I made was looked at an actual layout from a mag (ugh where is that link haha) and used it as a visual guide. Magazine friend says that on the intro blurbs before the interview, if they were styled in a way that stood out, it'd look nice (maybe all a secondary color and bold, or something like that).
