welp...this is awkward
So, short of getting some extra space and transferring my tens of thousands of icons, does anyone know of a image host that handles file names like Photobucket? That is to say, an image host that let's me choose the file structure and preserves file names? I've been using Photobucket since the dawn of time my GJ days and I had to pay to make it work about 2 years ago, but now it's just not working or if it does, it's loading at the speed of dial-up or worse. :/

Might it be easier to just pay for a domain and some webspace?

I was just thinking what [info]evaakeru said. Or you could use altervista? It's a free website host (I use it a lot; it's very reliable in my experience). It'd have a longer URL, but your file names would be intact.
