Now that life.com no longer seems to have event photo coverage on their site and getty has a new watermarking system, does anyone know how to save getty pics without the watermark? The trick I had been using for the last few years (changing the last letter of the direct image URL) no longer works.

Register for an account, just keep it simple (I think one of the options is to say that you want to register just to obtain prices and stuff). After your account is registered, when you hover over the photo you won't have a watermark on the preview, get the link for that preview image;

Example:

Change 'gp' to 'gc' and that should do it! A similar trick also works on wireimage.com and filmmagic.com but you don't need to register. Just hover over the thumbnail like on getty, get the preview link;

Example (same for wireimage and filmmagic):

And change 'xr' to 'xc' and then 'k=3' to 'k=2' for the untagged MQ!

	I registered with Getty a while back and have been able to save photos without the watermark-up until yesterday,that is. I Googled the problem and came across this page;I tried the suggestions of changing the letters in the URL but it's not working for me. 	I just signed up recently and went to save an image without a watermark today only to find out the old tricks didn't work too. Of course getty apparently changes their system shortly after I decide to finally just sign up. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I understand the process described above for downloading photos from Getty, Wireimage, and Filmagic without the watermark. But I am trying to get a photo from the Newscom website without the watermark and can NOT figure it out! Anyone have any ideas? (Reply to this) (Parent)

	A little late, but I figured it out! You have to sign up, then you hover over each image you want and click the + button (you will then see it turn into a check mark). Next you open the board. Right click on the image and open it in a new tab - voila. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
