Background graphics?
I'm running out of options for background graphics. What are some great Web sites to peruse?

ACTUALLY! I finally have an answer!!

Colour Lovers has an option where you can make your own graphics via their patterns (or your own? I think?) and then you can color them yourself with whateeeever colors you like. It's really neat! And then don't download them, but if you press 'preview', you can save the tile from there.

If you have problems, google your question, and you can usually figure out how to do things that way.

I'm not good at making my own graphics. I'm just sort of good (maybe) at arranging things.

Well, you don't have to. :) There's an option to make your own pattern here and all you do is change the colors. Other people made the patterns! But it gives you color options and a drop down list of TONS of different types of patterns.

It's what I used today to make a background for my journal!

I know Squidfingers has probably been thrown around here before. The Inspiration Gallery has some pretty ones, too. repeatXY allows you to search by colour.

I have a file of backgrounds saved on my computer, but I'm not entirely sure where I got most of them. :/

If you're looking for large image backgrounds instead of tiling, I've got a few resources for that as well. Just let me know if you'd like those!

I'm more into seamless tiles. You have to have the right journal layout for single background images, and I tend to use the generator style.

Thanks for the linkage!

http://webtreats.mysitemyway.com/ - There are some really groovy textures/backgrounds that are seamless. :)

Zen Textures and Lost & Taken are two places that I've found some nice backgrounds at. The images, I think, are high-res enough for a 1440x900+ screen res to comfortably fit these images. I'm fairly certain that I snagged a wooden background for my character, Johnathan, from Zen Textures and it looks rather nice for a centered table-like layout (which the Generator layout looks like/is similar to).

1440x900, you say? You must be a Mac user as well, haha.

Jonathan's layout does look pretty snazzy.

I've bookmarked both. Thank you!

I'm actually a PC user, but have an odd screen res. XD However, my family would like to get a Mac when our current computer finally dies. lol

Thank you, I'm glad you like Johnathan's layout. :) I believe it's based on this one.

And you're welcome! I hope I was helpful in giving you some more options to choose from. :D

I absolutely adore patterns. Perhaps it's the OCD in me.

Thanks for the linkage!

I'm the same. If I see even a pixel off, I get irritated with patterns.
