I wondered if anyone had any ideas for making large FAQS look less it's one big block of text?

Since so many people answered (and I will answer all of them ASAP!), this is my problem. I've tried bullets, but those got unsightly after a while. Blockquotes are greater for smaller texts and ...

You could try "indenting" using tables, or if you're already doing that, perhaps trying bullet-like images to break up the block of text.

Sorry that it took me this long, the FAQ totally kidnapped my brain for a while there. I'll go give the bullets thing another shot and thank you for your input. <3

Blockquotes go a long way to breaking up walls of text - that's right up there with indenting, but without having to use tables.

Yay!!! Haha honestly I just use blockquotes like all the time so I suggest it to everyone. I've used a combination of tables, blockqoutes and bullets before. I also really like anon's suggestion of pictures and typography to offset.

I didn't even think of using blockquotes. Then again, half the time I do any coding it's late at night and I'm tired (so you'd think I wouldn't code then, but I do).

like others have said, using blockquotes, line breaks, adding pictures, making the overall body of text wide enough (so that it's not too skinny and long that people will have to scroll a lot, but not too wide that people lose their place while reading), bolding the question so the text doesn't look so uniform (and along that vein using headers for different sections, like SETTING or LOCATIONS or something), etc!

Thank you! After reading your comment, I totally went and added pictures.

I had this problem, ended up using some different colored backgrounds to help break it up, like here. It's still a work in progress, but I feel like it gives a lot of visual breaks and makes it less overwhelming.

Oh God, that looks amazing! How did you do the rounded table corners, if you don't mind me asking?

aw, thank you!

It's a style tag that's inclosed within the TD. It looks like this:
style="border-top-right-radius: 20px; border-top-left-radius: 20px; border-bottom-right-radius: 20px; border-bottom-left-radius: 20px;"

This doesn't work in IE, however. So anyone viewing it from IE will still see the normal, square edges.

I just had the same problem! [info]embodimentof had a really clever idea to use hidden tables like so:
