Subtle advertising
AKA sneaky ways of getting the word out about your game.

So you do your standard advertising in nearly every ad community known to man. You also talk to your friends online who RP, and spread the word however you can. But maybe that's not enough. How can you let random people know about your games without actively pushing them at strangers? Easy. Try mini-banners! Put them in your CDJ user info, in your personal journal profile. Manage an ad community? Link them there in the profile. Run an icon community? Stick it in your profile! Asks for affiliate games and use them there.

What do I mean by mini banners? Check the profile here for instance. Come for icons, see where the maintainers play. Maybe the banners pique the interest. Just be sure to make them catchy and colorful, like ad banners, without making them glaring.

I use to use these for website banners, and found that they do well for RP games as well. Try it and see what works for you!
