While I know that using Google is a reflex for the majority of us, I would also suggest the idea of learning to migrate away from it if privacy is a big thing for you. DuckDuckGo, for example, is an up-and-coming search engine which has made A Big Deal about never tracking user searches (they don't retain query data), whereas Google is not just consolidating all data and applying it across the board, but will continually be revising their policies in the future.
