If you have CheckFox or a similar extension for Firefox, you can uncheck all on the edit friends page and save.

Alternatively, the no-frills method would be to uncheck the first box, tab three times, space, tab three times, space, tab three times, space... And so on until you've unchecked all the boxes, then save.
