how does one do this? i'm photoshop stupid, so my apologies if this is easy!

Is it the colouring you mean, or the images? It looks fairly straightforward.

Crop three images with the same proportions. Then align them. You can use the up and down keys (you have to have the image selected to do this) to get them aligned perfectly. Once you have them aligned, crop that image (if there is white space that you don't want in the image) and save it. And you're done. Hope that helps!
