Coming back from a hiatus, I'm updating my CDJ to reflect what I'm up for. It got me to thinking - what do you guys expect to see in a CDJ?

Questions
What do you look for as far as information goes?
How do you organize your CD?
How much info is too much info?
ETC/whatever you can think of as far advice and the like goes.

I look for what makes an established CDJ, which includes recent RP samples, taken/retired/available character list, past RPGs, wants & donotwants but most importantly information like if that person has a preference for good literacy, looking for plot and character development or if they only play fluff/PWP, RPGs and/or 1x1s, among other things.

A CDJ that's empty save for a dropbox, or only has a couple of posts detailing that you write ________ paragraphs long, you like these ______ pbs, you're in this timezone, and a casual '*shrug* yeah, I've RPed before' history description isn't going to lure anybody: not to mention that after reading it you still haven't learned anything about that RPer's style and interests.

The more information that's provided, the more helpful that CDJ is =)

I don't know what'd classify as too much info, but I think listing every single kink/whathaveyou might be a bit overbearing. Plus, posting every single RP post or application you've ever done.

That, and maybe if the PBs/icons take up more space than the actual relevant text. A CDJ that's dedicated to simply showing off your played&lookingfor PBs isn't helpful in contrast to a CDJ that has info on where and what you've played, etc.

It won't interest any non-PB RPers, nor does showing off your icons provide any help in what you actually enjoy writing about.

CDJs with adoptables, .gifs, etc are a major turn off, personally. It would not impress me in the slightest. I want to see RP history and tastes in text, not banners illustrating your RP style.

I organized my CDJ [info]bonemeal with simple but efficient tables. Easy on the eyes, the colour scheme isn't blinding, and WYSIWYG. People (I hope) don't have to go digging just to find out what I will and won't play, what I have played but won't pick up again, or what my old RP haunts were.

Hope this helps.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I read the general tips tutorial thing but I was looking for more details specifically. Thanks so much for taking the time to help out!
