Re: Ocean's: Ash & Sam
"You don't see one another, but he helped you find a place still?" It wasn't said accusatory fashion, just curious as to how things had been playing out in her absence. And then Sam was playing in the syrup and Ash grinned, cutting off a bite of waffle to extend over to Sam. "Better than the french fry if you want some syrup, love," she said by way of offering.
"No, he hasn't met them yet. I'm hoping they'll all get a chance to meet soon enough, though. Neil invited me over whenever I've time, so we'll see how that goes." There was another drink of her own as Sam talked about that someone who had made her breakfast. "You like him, then? I'm going to assume he's good for you if he's making you breakfast." A grin and she shook her head in response.
"Not since you know who. I'm just... not interested. And maybe a little wary of guys turning out to be more than I can handle right now. Besides, Matthew takes up most of my time, and guys don't tend to be into the single mother thing." She glanced towards her phone, woke it up long enough to see a smiling picture of her boy on the home screen.
