Re: Ocean's: Ash & Sam
"I don't know, honestly. But I don't think I could stand to take him on one even if it was safe. It just feels dangerous to me." There was a shrug of one shoulder as Sam gave up her order, but a smile was cracked a moment later. "Though I have to say that all the 'adventure', or whatever you want to call it, makes it easier to appreciate when things are quiet and calm." Everything that had happened years ago had happened for a reason, because of her choices, and Ash wasn't quite sure she'd change many of those decisions even now. It had been her fault, and in the end, things hadn't turned out horribly, had they?
"Across town, where?" Food came and the waffle was piping hot. She was quick to spread butter across, dripping and melting, and then more than a little syrup, hot and sticky. It was cut into and a bite was taken before she answered. "A pub, yeah. Something almost authentic to what I had back home. It's nice, business is nice. The food's good there, too. But yeah, it's nice. I'm good at it, I guess." There was another shrug of her shoulder, a non-committal gesture, and she took another bite.
"You got to want something other than fries. A sandwich or something?"
