Re: Ocean's: Ash & Sam
Ash looked up at the sound of the door opening, looking for Sam, and for a moment, she almost didn't recognize the other woman. It had been a while and changes were expected, but it seemed like it had been forever considering the state Sam presented. She didn't comment on that, though, instead giving her a grin that was warm and wide, and yeah, it was good to see her. Really good to see her.
She glanced at Sam's neck, the bruises, the bite mark, but she didn't comment on that, either. If Sam wanted to explain, Sam would explain, and Ash knew better than to try and drag information outta her. The best thing to do, she thought, was just to treat her like things were fine instead of tiptoeing around issues that she didn't know the details of.
"Not even a hello before ordering your drink?" It was good-natured and teasing, and time back in Scotland had thickened that accent of hers into something that definitely marked her as a foreigner. "It feels like it's been forever since I saw you."
