Re: log: Tony's Super Secret Facility
[Bruce remained more focused on the injury in front of him than on the conversation between the two other men. With the shrapnel out and even a minor amount of food and water given to Barnes, he could tell that the wound would close relatively quickly, and was already looking far better than it had. But he couldn't bring himself to leave the job half-done, so he began (with thread that would dissolve and not require more care to remove) to sew the edges of skin togther, treating each stitch as a careful journey. He knew it should be awful, especially with Barnes not receiving any anesthetic, but the only sign of discomfort that he noticed while working was the long, slow breathing. He found himself matching it, whether for Barnes' sake or his own sense of calm, he couldn't say.
When the stitches were completed, he cleaned the area again, infection usually a worry with the sorts of injury and illnesses he was used to seeing. So he cleaned it well and then began to dress it - gauze and an expert wrapping job. But before he was quite done, he reached over and tapped one gloved finger against the remaining water packets still sitting there, never even looking up from his work.]
