Re: Hotel -> Lost: Jules & Kitane
[Sticks and broken shells were pinching the bottom of Jules' feet, but the pain was secondary to the fear that someone could come and attack them at any point. No matter how empty it looked, it was still held that eerie aura that something tragic had happened here. Or maybe it was just two girls with overactive imaginations letting their neuroses get the better of them. Definitely a possibility. Would they ever come to that conclusion? Outlook not so good.
The only problem with the pole, was that she was still carrying her boots. While Kitane grabbed the branches, Jules threw her shoes back on and tied them loosely around her ankles instead of lacing them all the way up. It was quicker that way.] Isn't the door where we came in? That tent over there? [It wasn't too far away from the camp, but still far enough that it was going to be a mad scramble if they tried to run for it.] Is that how it works? I haven't been through any other doors...
Let's get the bags. We can carry it over to the door together. That should be faster than trying to drag through the sand. [They weren't in immediate danger, right? It was worth it to try to keep their bags with them. After all, they were going to find another beach, an awesome beach, and they were going to need the stuff they packed. They just needed to get out.
Knives? Fire? That was all Kitane. Jules' idea of survival is twinkies and a snuggie. She may have grown up on a farm, but all that girl scout stuff was lost on her. However, if there was a cow on this island, she could TOTALLY milk it. Something told her that those skills were not going to be used here.] There's a few other tents. We can check them out to see if there's a knife? Then deal with the bags. I think the bags are okay... [CRACK!]
[Jules had taken one step towards the other tents and snapped a twig under her boots. Not a big deal. The big deal was that the ground shifted slightly beneath her and not even a second later a slow beeping started.] I... IS THIS A MINE?! [The beeping came from both Jules and Kitane's phones, a reminder that someone needed to enter the numbers. It was no sound Jules had heard from her phone before, so obviously it was because of something she stepped on. Like a mine.] What is that noise? I don't think I can move my foot!
