Re: Hotel -> Lost: Jules & Kitane
[That was a really good point. Jules had never once asked why a western omelet was called that. She just accepted it as the name. Then again, Jules didn't order omelets often. Pancakes. That's the breakfast of champions.] I think it depends on which map you're looking at. That's why Asia is the far east. Because they put the Americas on the left side of the map, and everything else on the right side. Globes are far too logical for the majority of humanity. Get enough of them in a group and they'll make any stupid opinion into fact. [Jules raised a fist in the air and yelled out to no one in particular.] THAT'S RIGHT, CONGRESS! I'm watching you! [The extent of Jules' political knowledge came from Frank Underwood. She really had no room to talk, as she knew nothing of what the U.S. Congress actually did.]
[But something brought Jules back to the conversation and her face lit up, unable to hide just how amazed and jealous she was.] You lived in China?! And Las Vegas?! Your life is awesome. How was it? Is there really a General Tso? OH! Did you go on that ride that almost dumps you off the top of a hotel? [They were moving into a kitschier part of the hotel, and Jules was getting distracted by the décor. She loved it. If there was a plastic pineapple on a table somewhere, she'd probably take up residence right in this hallway.]
Okay. Doors. [She pointed out at three doors a little down the way in turn. First was a door with a tiki torch beside it, second was a door with some weird floral frame, and the third door was covered in what looked like a fishing net but from this distance with Jules' horrid vision it could have been a carved design. Either way, they were going to decide this using logic and science. Sound reasoning. The way an adult would. Because she was grown up and she could do things on her own. Take that, Mom!] Eeney Meeney Miney Mo. Catch a tiger by the toe. If he hollers, let him go. Eeney Meeney Miney Mo.
[Her finger landed on the door with the tiki torch. There was a sign on it, but she couldn't read it just yet. Maybe she should look into getting contacts.] The Eeney Meeney Miney Mo Gods have spoken. They rarely fail, but have been known to be wrong on occasion. [With an overflourished wave of her hand and dramatic bow, Jules offered the door to Kitane.] After you! [She didn't expect there to be a beach on the other side. They probably should have been more concerned with which beach it was.]
