Re: Arkham: Stephanie/Crane
[The decision to go in there had been for multiple reasons. Namely, of course, to keep an eye on him, but also because she wanted to keep an eye on the patients as well. Arkham patients were notoriously underserved and neglected, and after years of working with the underprivileged, Stephanie couldn't imagine just going to work at some hospital while she slowly built up the clinics once again. And, of course, she really needed a job. She'd come back to very little in her bank account, and now that she was single again? She certainly couldn't rely on someone to help her out. Not that she wanted to anyway. All of this was a twisted sort of way to prove that she was okay. That she could be okay.
A laugh, something quiet and almost genuine. Almost.] It's an adjustment period. I'm sure you realize that. Going from working in Nigeria to... here is a big jump. Not as big as working at Gotham General, but you know. [She waved her hand. She would be genial. She would try to be genial.] They're fine.
