[Loki was, in essence, along for the ride. He wasn't a passive participant, of course, oh no. He struck down several of the passing skiffs, either by penetrating their atmosphere and watching the oxygen-sensitive die choking, or by sabotaging the moving parts.
When they landed on the ship, he skidded a little before finding his footing, grounding his feet to the hull with a thin layer of frost. Such magics, while hereditary and derivative, did so come in handy at times like these.
