Re: Queens: Evie/Wren/Luke
[Wren just thought it would be good for Evie to do something here, and maybe that was a little selfish, but she wanted her friend to be safe, and she wanted Daisy to be safe. Nothing felt really, really safe, not after that bad door, but they could at least try. She knew she didn't want to take pictures of models, not now, and she had been planning on just pointing her camera wherever she thought was interesting, but if she could maybe help Evie find a job, or help Evie get settled, then that would make her feel good too. Especially since Evie had been all alone after the bad door.]
We'll talk to Elena. [But Wren's eyes narrowed a little bit, the way they always did when she found out that Luke knew any women she didn't know he knew. But she didn't say anything about it, and she just nodded a little.] We'll let you know what she says.
[She smiled a little bit when Evie relented, and maybe Luke was a little bit right about her being stubborn.] It's 29 degrees out there, and you have a toddler you're carrying, Evie. Being able to get here okay doesn't mean you needed to, okay? Next time call, and we'll come get you. You don't have to do things all by yourself.
[Upstairs, Lia cried, and Wren glanced toward the stairs.] I'll go. Be safe going home, okay? [She pressed a kiss to Daisy's hair, and then to Evie's cheek.] Thanks for coming, okay? Make sure Luke drives really, really safe.
