Re: Queens: Evie/Wren/Luke
[Evie didn't want to be fixed, didn't think there was much of hope of fixing, she just wanted everyone to have a chance to turn things around. She wanted some good luck. Part of her wished she'd been a little selfish on Valentine's Day and wished for a good day for herself too. Or for a place to live, but when she knew so many people had helped her and she had no way of helping back...Sigh.
Evie didn't have faith that Max would have done anything but handed Daisy over to the state, nor would she have expected any different from someone who didn't even like Evie much at all. She didn't have any faith that anything good would happen now if something happened to her. Wren and Luke weren't okay to take care of her. There wasn't anyone. She missed her father desperately in that moment. Not Will.] It's not your fault Wren. [She was sure of that, she promised and she hoped it was clear. She didn't want to talk and make things worse. That's what she managed to do twice now. But she did agree and nod with everything she said. They were back and maybe things were starting to get better.
When she got up to leave she wondered why, and she hoped she hadn't messed it up again but she turned to look at Luke and shook her head.] I can't take your money, Luke. But you're right, it's gotta get better. [She didn't have the heart to tell him that Jack was probably not going to talk to her again after what she'd said, and done. The mess of that she'd made. But she could try and think positive. Just to get through the afternoon. And maybe some of it would stick.] I'm sorry about all this. I didn't know I'd be such a mess. I mean, I'm always a mess. But I'm sorry.
