Re: Queens: Evie/Wren/Luke
[Wren watched as Luke coaxed Gus from his cave of pillows, and she watched as Lia glommed onto Daisy and tried to share her pacifier with the slightly older little girl. Then, they were all in the kitchen, and Wren wondered if there was something wrong with the bread, because Evie was staring at it really, really hard. She looked over at Luke and Gus, where they were sitting at the kitchen table, and then back at the bread.] Is the bread okay?
[But the smile on Evie's lips when she said selling hats was okay, that seemed real, and maybe reality was just doing that thing again where Wren couldn't tell even a little if was really real or not. But then Evie mentioned buses, and Wren frowned. Another glance back at Luke, because maybe she'd heard something wrong?] Why was the puppy on a bus? [Another frown.] Why was it a long bus ride? [More frown.] Do you want to nap?
[You couldn't take a bus from Marvel to Gotham, so that couldn't be the reason, and the confusion was bright and obvious on Wren's face.]
She takes Daisy to Gotham. [This was said to Luke, and the worry there was really, really apparent. She turned off the stove, and she pulled the macaroni and cheese out and set the white bakeware on a trivet, but she stalled mid-spoon reach. If Evie wanted a nap, they should wait.]
