Re: [spidey kids in silent hill]
[Flash had a choice: fight or flight. Usually, when it came to his dad, he picked neither. Even when he was big enough to destroy his dad, he just let the old man beat on him. He didn't have any good reason why beyond being paralyzed by fear, by being used to submitting to the man. Venom was the only thing that made him feel strong enough to overcome that fear, make him strong enough to not only confront his dad, but teach him a lesson. It sounded like a nice story, right? A kid finally stands up to his abusive dad? But, the truth was, Flash was sick with guilt over what he did to his father and he never once tried to make it better. He accepted those Christmas cards his now (AA apologizing fuck) some what sober dad sent him. But, he never tried to build that bridge back up again. He wasn't good enough.]
Peter would have... [Flash inhaled slowly and the brightly lit classroom started to blink off and on like a light.] Peter would have. [He shook his head, that headache scraping across his skull like steel on asphalt. He looked up at Gwen and reached for her, deft hands trying to hold onto the only person that was a constant in his life. The only lighthouse.] Gwen, he WOULD have! [The was a v-shaped line of sweat forming on his t-shirt. Fear pushing his body, his heart to the absolute limit. He took her hands, clumsy and mouth-breathing and nodded.] Okay, okay. I don't want to be here anymore. [Flash sounded small, he sounded like he was melting. In that second, the teacher, jowls suddenly blood soaked lunged at Flash and tore at his shoulder. He gave an animal howl in pain and flailed back, protecting Gwen as best as he could. The classroom was fading quickly now, floorboards turning dark and rotten, windows cracked wide open.
The door to the classroom swung open with force and standing there was the hulking figure of his father. A large, overweight man with beady black eyes and hands like sacks of meat. Flash bashed the teacher's skull into the ground with force and then wobbled to his feet.
And, in that second, the world turned to Fog. His father flickered away and in his place was a shirtless man wearing a butcher's apron with a metal head in the shape of a triangle. In his hand was a giant blade, large enough to cut any man in half.] Shit, shit! Pyramid head! GWEN you need to GO. [Flash looked back at her, eyes finally focused.] I'll distract him away from the door. Go!
