quicklog, hotel: neil/mere
[As soon as he hung up the phone, Neil grabbed his jacket and left Shadowcrest. He'd get in touch with Louis later; for now, he needed to get to Meredith. He was drenched in guilt, from leaving her alone for days at a time to not even knowing that she was trapped in a door until Sam told him. No wonder she'd wandered into trouble with the way he'd been treating her. Ever since they'd been sucked into the hotel, he had been so wrapped up with everyone else's problems that he'd neglected her. Not that he regretted being there for his brother, of course not, he could never regret that, but still... he should have balanced all aspects of his life better.
He could make up for it now. He would. He had to.
It didn't take long to find the door out, into the hotel hallway. Dressed in dark colors, he looked like it had been some time since he slept; otherwise, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Killing a man didn't leave a visible mark. The third floor was easy enough to find, and Meredith was the only one sitting in the hallway by a door.
He knelt beside her, carefully reaching out to touch her shoulder.] Mere?
