Re: quicklog: Jean G/Wanda M - Wanda's garden
[The world shimmered and shifted in front of Jean's eyes as though she were viewing it through a heat mirage. Fires burned deep inside of her, but the Phoenix was still weak. She sensed that. It was why Jean was so concerned with finding a place to hide. A place to heal. To bide her time until those hunting her would pay. Jean flinched as the thoughts went through her mind and shook her head to try and free herself. They weren't her thoughts, no matter how much it felt as though they were.
A deep breath to steady herself, and the world returned to normal. The sound of Wanda's voice was enough to strengthen Jean's resolve to keep the Phoenix Force under control. People's lives counted on her. The redhead spun around towards where the sound came from, and suddenly she was overwhelmed in a good way. The greens of the hedges seemed brighter, the scent from the roses filling the air, and Jean smiled. Really smiled. She could feel the life pulsing all around her. It was lovely here.]
Through here? [She moved awkwardly, following the directions she was given through the bush. Her wild hair snagged on a leaf, giving Jean pause while she untangled herself. A small laugh slipped out of her, and then she ducked herself lower before popping out of the other side.] Thank you for seeing me, Wanda.
