Re: Mayflowers: Max & Sharon
"Do you play an instrument, Carter?" Max sounded entertained at the concept of Carter's rock band - why it was rock? No clue, but it was definitely rock. Classic rock, played in bars with wood floors and a bronco that bucked for a quarter. The issue of the dog made her stop grinning at her own mental image, and she looked down at the dog in the hoodie. "Do you think her handler is dead?" That was where all this was headed, right? This entire mess with Hydra - it led to dead people and orphan dogs in hoods.
As for what change meant, Max had no idea. She was trying to figure it out. But she'd gone from assassin to flower arranger, and that was about as drastic as things got when it came to changing.
"I don't know what it means, but these Avengers aren't unified. Do they even talk?" She figured Carter would know better than she would. She only knew what the world knew - nothing. There was nothing about them on the news, no buzz, nothing to make the people think they were safe. There were some kids slinging webs, and that was about it. She didn't buy into this whole superhero thing much, but she knew the world here did, and their heroes had all gone quiet.
