Re: Mayflowers: Max & Sharon
"As a whole, Carter. This Hydra thing is bigger than you, which is what worries me. I know you can handle yourself, but maybe it's my military upbringing, I don't know, but I'm more of a big picture gal. The world concerns me. I don't see a plan here that takes into account the big picture. That's just how I'm wired." She sounded apologetic. She liked Carter, but she couldn't turn off the fact that she was a government man. Being a mother affected that too, and she knew that; it was the whole reason for her extended CIA run, to make the world a safer place for her kid.
She shook her head when Carter offered to talk to Rogers about Barnes. "I'm just venting, Carter. Giving an opinion. I have a lot of those, and it doesn't mean I expect you to do anything about them." That was true enough. She bounced the baby on her hip, and she watched as the baby tried to reach for the dog, and that brought a genuine smile to Max's lips.
"Tell me about cabana boys instead. I don't have any of those in my life right now. I wouldn't mind some."
