He'd switched his gaze from her lips to her eyes again, and so he caught that flash of hurt there before she moved. He didn't grab her hand again, though he did move his hand to curl behind the back of her elbow, fingers just as careful as before but with strength to them. Their bodies were close enough to almost touch, their clothing brushing as they moved and breathed. Which he did, a slow draw in as he caught the scent of her hair. With the following exhale came more words, quiet and just a little rough.]
