Penthouse: Iris / Sam
[It's somewhere between 20 minutes and half an hour by the time Iris finally steps back into the hallway of the hotel. She'd claimed a family emergency (which wasn't a lie) to get out of the rest of her shift, apologizing as much as she could to the girls that would help cover for her. Then she'd called up the sitter and arranged for her to stay later than usual. A few extra minutes to talk to TJ, her voice soft over the phone as he reassured her that "it's good, mama" before handing the phone back to his sitter.
She had no change of clothes with her (not even in her work locker), so when she found the door that had been propped open and stepped inside (closing it behind herself), she was still wearing the scrubs from her shift and the most comfortable shoes she'd ever been able to find (on recommendation from some of the other nurses). The penthouse spread out in front of her, silent, and she went looking for Sam.]
