Magical Narnia: Ben/Ronan
In no way had he ever expected his whole family to show up at the door. Ever. He'd expected a picture maybe, a conversation on Skype, but not that.
And that was wonderful. He'd already been up when they arrived, Ronan still sleeping, him preparing for his morning jog even though the sun hadn't risen yet, when the knock had come on the door. It'd taken a little while to get them all settled in to their respective beds for a nap. Then he'd had to wake Ronan up just to let him know, and mostly to keep him from wandering into the kitchen not wearing anything more than an apron. (Living together and having no one else in the house did have its benefits.)
After the naps, it had been the day together. Promises made for tomorrow, a promise that they wouldn't be out all night tonight made to Juju Bean. At dinner, his smile came easier, and he held one of Ronan's hands all night, their fingers interlocked as if the sudden appearance of his family might mean that he had to give Ronan up.
Not so. For once, the hotel didn't seem intent upon taking anything away. And when they arrived back at the house, and Ronan asked him not to say anything, he didn't. He followed him into his wish and grinned. He almost opened his mouth to say something, to tell Ronan that it was fine, and beautiful, but instead he hooked his fingers into the pockets of his suit and tugged on him lightly. Come closer said the tug. It's more than okay said his smile. And once Ronan was close enough, his hands left his pockets to smooth around his slimmer shoulders as Ben bent to press his answer directly into Ronan's lips.
