[There wasn't time to react when Micah fired, only to look to where the bullets had gone, to see Cris charge forward, to watch Neil check himself and move without injury. Two bullets, two close calls, but no one hurt, even as his vision pitched with panic that his partner and his brother might be hit.
Cris was on Micah so fast there wasn't a chance for the man to fire again. Wasn't Cris armed? Oh well. At least he had Micah down, pinned heavy to the ground.
