Re: Chinatown - Hospital
[She was about to fight, to find the breath for words that were stern enough to get Mai to move with her and the baby, and not to stay behind. She'd also noticed that the aliens weren't killing, and that meant capture. She knew it did. And she didn't want to let this woman sacrifice herself. Not like this. Not for her.
She moved away a bit as the aliens moved forward, and so she was several feet away when the alien finally reached for Mai, got her by the throat, lifted. She was still several feet away when the electricity crackled around the woman, blasting the alien away and to the ground. And maybe she wanted to laugh, becuase yes, that was helpful. They'd maybe make it out of this if Mai could do that.
Using one hand to wave in Mai's direction, she hoped to get the woman's attention without having to try shouting.] Hey! [She tried it anyway, a rasp that had little volume to it.] Hey!! [She waved her hand again and beckoned. The nurses were still waiting, still herding people. There was still time to go.]
