Re: Chinatown - Bruce/Selina
[Selina liked a fight as much as any girl, but she didn't mind watching someone good at work, too. She watched for a second, just a second, and then she ushered the family out the door as he fought the remaining aliens. Panicked, they tripped over their feet, and Selina ended up scooping the youngest up and handing the child over to the two Gotham boys that were guarding the entrance to the alley. She'd cleared out the afterschool program early, and that had helped immensely. There wasn't a kid in Gotham that didn't know how handle a weapon, and she had armed boys at the corners of the shops and the entrance to the alley.
Moving to one of the safe locations wasn't as safe as where they were, so she made no effort to move them. She just tousled Milo's hair as he peered out from behind an older boy's leg, and she returned to the fray.]
Thanks, Bat. [She meant it. The street was nearly cleared, and he'd managed to scare off most of the lingerers. That she felt protective of the neighborhood, that was obvious.] Feel better? [It was a genuine question. Despite the exhaustion that showed itself clearly on her features, she was calm - adrenaline did that. No emotional turmoil bubbling over, at least for the moment.] I'm headed to Central Park. Where are you headed? [She asked the question as she lifted her gun arm and fired a borrowed weapon at the back of a retreating alien. Bam.]
