Re: Meatpacking District - Jason/Gwen/Hulk
[Gwen had some experience with rampaging monsters. She was a pretty good shot, too, having learned at her dad's knee when she was little. Shooting anything alive, that hadn't ever happened, but she wasn't particularly concerned about empathy for the things tearing apartment New York. She just had to remind herself that they weren't all mutated lizards that could transform back into harmless humans, and everything would be fine. And there was a security that came with Jason's hand in hers that she hadn't felt in a long time. There wasn't time to question it then, but she wasn't oblivious to it.
She knew most people thought she was small and helpless, but she didn't cry or scream throughout the entire landrace to the Meatpacking District. She was scared, though, and the ground beneath them grew holes in places, holes that needed to be jumped over, even as they swallowed monsters whole.
She stopped that half block away, right when Jason noticed what was ahead, and the building beside them lost all its windows - the ones that were still intact. She grabbed onto Jason's sleeve when the earth moved from the impact of Hulk's fists, and she stared.
She never seen him in person, but Director Fury had forced her to watch footage once. Lots and lots of footage, and she knew exactly who it was.]
Don't hurt him. [This to Jason, as if he possibly could.]
